breakfast poem

wpid-img_4588.jpg

Let me bore you

With my stories

And you can enthrall me

With your tale.

That’s all I ask.

Simple enough.

Day breaks like an egg.

In endless beginnings

We fold & flip

At the flat-top

Like a short-order cook

Finessing an omelet.

No, thanks,

Quit years ago,

I’ll have more coffee though,

Regular, two sugars, please.
